Boşanma sonrası adaptasyon, uyku, yeme ve tuvalet problemleri, öfke-saldırganlık sorunları, korkular… Norton çifti tüm bu sorunların çözümü için oynanacak oyunlarını, Psikoloji İstanbul ve Doğa Koleji işbirliğiyle, 24 Ekim’de ailelere anlatacak.

OYUN ÇOCUĞUN ASIL İŞİDİR…
Eğitimin adı “Benimle Oynar Mısın?” ‘oyunlar birebir çocukların iç dünyasının yansımasıdır, çocuklar her zaman duyduğumuzdan daha fazlasını anlatır’ diyen Prof. Dr. Byron Norton bu anlatılanları duymanızı, anlamanızı, görmenizi sağlayacak.
2-11 yaş arasındaki çocuklarla oyun oynuyorlar. Norton’lar geçen 40 yılda okula adaptasyon, korkular, boşanma süreci, yatağını ıslatma, içe kapanıklık gibi pek çok çocuğun yaşayabileceği sorunlar dışında cinsel taciz, ölüme şahit olma ve depremin de aralarında bulunduğu, çok ağır travmalarla karşı karşıya olan yüzlerce çocuğa oyun terapisiyle yardım etmeyi başardılar.
Norton çifti 17-25 ekim arasında İstanbul’da olacak.
24 Ekim’de ailelere oyun yoluyla çocuklarla iletişim, 20-23 ekim’de uzmanlara oyun terapisi eğitimi verecekler.

COME PLAY WITH ME!
Attendance Play with Me Parenting Workshop will enable parents to:• identify appropriate toys to understand their child’s interior world,
• choose toys appropriate to their child’s temperament and character,
• communicate with their child in an effective and healing way.
• interpret their child’s play,
• make the right decision about their child’s psychosocial development
Does it make sense how or with which toys a child plays?
After participating in Dr. Norton’s workshop, you will learn to use the toys in your therapy room, classroom or home more effectively, and create a set of effective and useful toys for children.
For example; broken toys will help you understand how your child perceives imperfection. Children who throw away their broken toys may fear that s/he will not be loved anymore if s/he makes a mistake.
Or, a child who always play with a toy camera may be trying to tell that s/he misses something or somebody, but cannot express his/her feelings verbally.
Similarly, a child who plays with toy dinosaurs may be trying to tell that s/he cannot forget or give up the thought of something fearful or stressful.
Toy guns or swords have a further meaning.

About Dr. Byron and Carol Norton
Dr. Byron Norton developed the child-centered “Experiential Play Therapy” method. He is a retired Professor of Counseling Psychology in the Professional Psychology Department at the University of Northern Colorado. He has taught play therapy, including supervision, to graduate students as well as professionals. He has also been leading seminars on “Reaching Children through Play” for parents and caregivers for over twenty-five years. Carol Norton is past president of the Colorado Association for Play Therapy. She has provided training and supervision to professionals. Dr. Byron and Carol Norton are the authors of the book, Reaching Children through Play Therapy. Over the last forty years, they have treated forty thousand children through play.
About “Psikolojistanbul”
“Psikolojistanbul” Counseling, Education and Research Centre was established in 2006. Individual therapy, family and marital therapies, institutional counseling and training services are offered by highly trained and qualified therapists in accordance with ethical principles. The center also conducts projects and research studies in Turkey and abroad. The mission of the center is to provide ongoing training, seminars and workshops, in support of life-long learning and professional development. The center provides training programs for professionals and workshops about special developmental issues for families.
